KEENARF – THE ESSENCE OF THE REAL HOUSE MUSIC„Not everyone understands house music: it’s a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing” Eddie AmadorWarsaw-based DJ and producer KEENARF (aka Krzysztof Hawaj) has been behind the decks for two decades – still with the same passion that began at the legendary Berlin Love Parade in 2003 and has never faded.His deep sets, rooted in essential house music, are pure energy and musical storytelling based on the groove.His sound balances between deep house, tech house and minimal sounds, creating an organic pulse that hypnotises dancefloors from Warsaw to Zurich.He made his debut in 2008 at the Opium Club in Warsaw, when the Polish scene was still growing, taking the best examples from foreign clubs. Since then, he has been consistently building his position on the scene, playing in the most important Polish clubs and festivals, as well as abroad (including Edinburgh, Milan, Zurich, Les2Alpes, Stockholm, Ostrava).His house tracks have been released on labels such as Circus Recordings (UK), Eton Messy (UK), No Brainer (DE), Blacksoul Music (HR) and In It Together Records (UK), which are undoubtedly the labels that shape the sound of contemporary house music.The track ‘Bring Me Down’ was featured on the iconic Defected Ibiza 2017 compilation, and the single ‘Welcome Back’ (Circus Recordings) was played on Clapcast #481 by Claptone himself.In 2024, Keenarf completed the Pete Tong DJ Academy Advanced Course, where he was taught by Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Jamie Jones, Nicole Moudaber and TSHA, among others.He is also a finalist of the renowned Burn Residency Poland and ABSOLUT Hear Me competitions.KEENARF has also sealed his contribution to the Warsaw underground scene by booking artists for the H2O club and fulfilling his dream of owning his own club – in 2016, Krzysztof founded SHOWCASE, which reopened the gates to the highest quality house music in Warsaw – at his invitation, legends such as Simon Dunmore, The Shapeshifters and Claptone played in the capital of Poland.On the club scene, he has shared the decks with artists such as Claptone, Sonny Fodera, Riva Starr, The Shapeshifters, Yousef, Booka Shade, I Hate Models, Mano Le Tough, Sparrow & Barbossa and Coco & Breezy and many more.He has played at festivals such as Audioriver, Summer Contrast, Tatarak, Lekko Festival, Beats for Love and Dayglow.Keenarf's energetic sets are a journey through different shades of house – from deep grooves to hypnotic structures.
